Fashionista sells North Bondi home where demand ‘has never been stronger’
Bec Cooper, one half of Australian fashion label Bec + Bridge, has sold her North Bondi family home for an undisclosed figure understood to be about $6.5 million.
It is a sizeable windfall for the clothing designer and her husband, caterer Dan Lewinsky, considering they paid $4.27 million for the Niblick Street property in 2019.
The four-bedroom home was secured a week out from its November 2 auction by buyers’ agent Sam Green of Advantage, on behalf of an unidentified buyer. Mr Green said the property would become available for rental soon.

The couple have cosmetically upgraded the four-bedroom home, which is a level walk to the beach and features open-plan living that connects to a resort-style pool and landscaped gardens.
Ms Cooper co-founded the Australian women’s fashion label alongside Bridget Yorston in 2004, after meeting at Sydney’s University of Technology while studying a bachelor of arts degree in fashion and textiles.
Warren Ginsberg – who sold the property with colleague Claudia Brunker – said the lifestyle appeal of North Bondi was drawing buyers away from traditionally blue-chip suburbs.
“We are having many buyers coming from suburbs like Vaucluse and Bellevue Hill seeking more of a lifestyle offering,” Mr Ginsberg said.
The Ray White director says young families and returning expats were driving demand in the beachside suburb.
“The buyer inspection numbers are almost double other listings,” Mr Ginsberg said. “The North Bondi market for freestanding homes and semis has never been stronger.”
