Stockbroker Euroz Hartleys was hoovering up shares in lithium play Azure Minerals on Monday morning, after the company signed a binding deed with Chilean giant SQM at $3.50 a share.
It had traded nearly 64.9 million shares in Azure Minerals at $3.50 or $3.49 a share, which is bang next to the bid price. The identity of the buyer was not known.
However, last time that combination happened, it was iron ore billionaire Gina Rinehart building towards a 19.99 per cent stake at Liontown Resources, which too at the time was subject to a big premium bid.
