The Centennial Park mansion of Chase Corporate founder Jeff Singh has hit the prestige market with a $20 million to $22 million guide.

Corporate adviser Jeff Singh has listed his Centennial Park mansion with a $20 million to $22 million guide, the second trophy property to hit the prestige market on Sydney’s coveted Lang Road in the past week.

Singh’s 1907-built villa joined the market at the same time as gallerist Gene Sherman’s expansive Federation mansion, Braelin, came to market with price expectations over $25 million.

The Lang Road home comes with a pool and conservatory.

According to CoreLogic, Singh paid $7.15 million to Nicholas Davie for the property overlooking Centennial Park in 2015, three years after he founded boutique advisory firm Chase Corporate Advisory.

Mr Singh told The Australian Financial Review he and his family had decided to sell due to commitments overseas.

“We are looking to sell as we are wanting to spend more time abroad and time with family based in Toronto,” Mr Singh said.

The five-bedroom, five-bathroom home sits on an 841-square-metre block adjacent to one of Centennial Park’s main entry gates, and has undergone an extensive renovation by architect Thomas Hamel and builders DCB.

The improvements included a conservatory, additional bedroom suite and renovations to the guest house and pool area.

The property features European oak floorboards with underfloor heating, a chef’s kitchen featuring Calacatta marble, gym, cellar, mosaic-tiled pool, and a four-car garage accessed from a rear lane.

While there are no harbour views, buyer’s agent Sam Green, of Advantage, said Lang Road properties were highly prized because of their lifestyle offering.

“They are the biggest blocks of land in the closest proximity to the city, so they’re very desirable,” Mr Green said. “There is nowhere else in the world where you can have that much land, walk to city, restaurants in Paddington and have direct access into the park.”

Mr Green said while harbour views would always trump parkside properties on price, the Centennial Park address offered a car-free cosmopolitan lifestyle.

“To get that in Point Piper and Vaucluse you’re driving to everything,” Mr Green added.

The property has undergone an extensive renovation by architect Thomas Hamel.

If the guide is achieved, it will likely trump the current Lang Road record of $20.5 million paid by fund manager Doug Tynan in 2022 for Centennial Park’s trophy mansion Lactura, sold by Industrie clothing’s Nick Kelly and partner, TV producer Maddy Kennard.

Deborah Symond, daughter of Aussie Home Loans founder John Symond, and husband Ned O’Neill also paid $20.5 million for the Lang Road home of retired colonel Andrew MacNab in April last year.

Mr Singh founded Chase Corporate Advisory more than a decade ago alongside ATO’s retiring chief Chris Jordan and former ASIC Chairman Tony D’Aloisio, while his previous roles include Macquarie Group M&A director and vice president of Barclays Capital in London.

The property is listed with Sotheby’s agent Michael Pallier for sale via expressions of interest.
