Changes are coming to your AFR app for Apple devices

The Australian Financial Review is launching an improved app for iPhone and iPad users.

The Australian Financial Review is excited to announce the upcoming launch of an improved iOS app for iPhone and iPad users.

The new app will make it easier for subscribers to access the country’s best business, markets, politics and investing news on one app across all Apple devices.

It will also showcase the full suite of the Financial Review’s digital content including breaking news, features and opinion reads, innovative storytelling, lifestyle and fashion, and podcasts.

To download and use the app all subscribers must:

  • Have an Apple device on the iOS 15 operating system or later.
  • Log in to your Financial Review account.

The new and improved app features an improved interface. 

Key features will include:

  • New interface, more reliable app.
  • Dark mode support.
  • Richer photo, video, audio content.
  • Access to more content as curated for subscribers.
  • Improved navigation and browsing.
  • Save articles to build your own article library.
  • Notifications to provide breaking news in real time.
  • Read today’s paper, as it was printed.
  • App users who purchased an in-app subscription will be able to link their account across all devices for the first time.

Features include the ability to save articles, dark mode and real time notifications. 

The Financial Review is the country’s most-read premium business masthead recording a cross-platform readership of 3.4 million people, according to Total News readership figures released by Roy Morgan in August.
